"Don't block the way, there are still people queuing behind."

Clark was pushed out the door.

He stood on the hillside, looking up at the distant city of Sokovia that was slowly rising into the sky.

Then he took a deep breath, the ground beneath his feet shattered, and his whole body turned into a blue ray of light, rushing toward the sky.

The two crooked antennas on his helmet trembled slightly in the airflow.

Barry stood to the side, staring dumbfounded as Superman flew away wearing an iron pot.

"What's up with that helmet?" he asked.

Lynn had already returned inside the Medical Pod.

"Do you need treatment?" Lynn retorted.

Barry looked down at himself.

Except for a plasma burn mark on his forearm, he was basically intact.

"I'm fine…"

"Then hurry back to the battlefield."

Barry vanished in a flash.

Lynn sat back on the folding chair and pressed his headset.

His voice connected to the Avengers' wartime public communication channel.

"Everyone."

The channel was in complete chaos.

Tony was shouting tactical orders, Steve was coordinating the evacuation of ground personnel, and Bruce was reporting the engine's energy data.

Lynn's voice cut in.

"Everyone. I just friendly-sponsored Superman with an artifact that can completely immunize against the Mind Stone's mental attacks. Please make sure to settle the bill after the battle."

The channel went quiet for a second.

Then Tony's voice exploded out.

"What artifact? When did you have something like that? Why didn't you take it out sooner?!"

Lynn's tone was very calm.

"Say another word of nonsense, and the cost will double."

The channel went quiet again.

This time it was quiet for three seconds.

Bruce's voice rang out.

No questioning, no pursuing, only two words.

"Received."

Tony was gritting his teeth on the other end of the channel, and his breathing could be heard becoming much heavier.

But he didn't speak again.

Because he knew very well that Lynn meant what he said.

Lynn turned off his headset and took another sip of tea.

High altitude, ten kilometers away.

The city of Sokovia had already risen to an altitude of about two thousand meters above the ground.

The roar of the engines was deafening, and blue energy beams shot straight from the base of the foundation toward the ground.

Gravel and soil were constantly falling off the edges of the city, like a reversed rainstorm.

Ultron hovered directly above the city, the Mind Stone on his forehead continuously emitting yellow light.

He was controlling the actions of all the mechanical soldiers below through a mental network.

Then he saw a blue ray of light.

Shooting from the direction of the ground, moving extremely fast.

Clark.

Ultron did not rush to respond physically.

His first reaction was to release a mental shockwave.

A yellow beam of light shot from his forehead, hitting Clark, who was approaching at high speed, head-on.

Ultron waited for that familiar result: Superman clutching his head in pain in mid-air, then falling like a kite with a broken string.

However, this time, nothing happened.

Clark passed through the yellow beam of light as if passing through a gentle breeze.

His speed did not slow down.

His flight path did not deviate. His eyes were clear and bright, without a trace of pain.

The two crooked antennas on his helmet swayed gently in the airflow.

Ultron's electronic consciousness completed a high-speed analysis within that tenth of a second.

Conclusion: The target's head was equipped with some kind of unknown mental shielding device.

His mental attack was completely nullified.

Ultron didn't have time to make any further reaction.

Because Clark had arrived.

Superman's right fist, carrying terrifying power capable of shattering mountains, slammed head-on into Ultron's Vibranium chest plate.

Boom.

The Shockwave spread in all directions with the two of them as the center.

The surface of the rising city foundation was shaved off by a layer of the Shockwave, and gravel flew everywhere like a rain of bullets.

Ultron's body was knocked away.

It smashed through two abandoned residential buildings from directly above the city, finally embedding into a concrete wall.

The concrete wall shattered, and dust rose.

Ultron climbed out of the ruins, with a deep, fist-shaped dent on his chest plate.

His electronic voice showed a noticeable frequency fluctuation for the first time.

"Shielding device," he said. "Interesting."

Clark didn't give him time to speak.

Heat Vision shot out from Superman's eyes.

Two scorching red beams precisely hit Ultron's shoulder joint.

Vibranium would not melt at this temperature; its melting point was far higher than this.

But the heat would generate internal stress in the Vibranium's lattice structure, lowering its threshold for withstanding physical Shockwave.

Clark accelerated while releasing Heat Vision.

Before the stress caused by the Heat Vision had dissipated, his second punch had already smashed in.

This time, it aimed at the left arm joint.

Crack.

A clear crack appeared in the Vibranium at that crisp sound.

Ultron's left arm was twisted at an abnormal angle at the joint.

Everyone on the battlefield heard that crisp sound.

A chaotic cheer erupted in the communication channel.

"Superman cracked him!" Barry's voice was the loudest.

Tony was silent on the channel for two seconds.

Then he said: "What the hell is that helmet?"

No one answered him.

Because everyone was watching the battle in the sky.

Clark was suppressing Ultron.

Every punch landed precisely on the structural weaknesses pre-treated by the Heat Vision.

Ultron's Vibranium body became riddled with holes in less than two minutes; his left arm was scrapped, his right leg was twisted, his chest plate was dented, and three penetrating cracks appeared on his back.

But Ultron was not dead.

Because his core was the Mind Stone.

As long as the stone was still running, his consciousness would not perish.

Vibranium body was just a carrier; if it broke, it could be repaired, or even replaced.

Ultron stopped struggling.

He looked at the Superman in front of him, with no expression of fear on his battered electronic face.

"You cannot kill me."

Then his body began to become translucent.

The molecular structure of the Vibranium underwent a phase change driven by the energy of the Mind Stone, turning from a solid state into an intermediate state between matter and energy.

Intangibility.

Clark's fist passed through Ultron's body.

Just like hitting the air.

Superman's movements stopped.

He tried again. It was the same.

The fist passed right through without encountering any resistance.

Ultron's intangible body re-solidified in front of him, the yellow light of the stone on his forehead flickering coldly.

"Physical attacks are ineffective against me," Ultron said.

"No matter how strong your power is, it is only an extension of physics."

Clark's fist clenched.

He reported to the channel, "My power cannot hit him. He can turn intangible."

The channel was dead silent for three seconds.

The city was still rising.

The altitude had already exceeded three thousand meters.

The roar from the ground was getting smaller and smaller, replaced by the sharp whistling in the thin high-altitude air.

Entire buildings on the edge of the city were constantly collapsing because their structures could not withstand the changes in gravity, and debris fell like raindrops toward the earth three thousand meters below.
