Inside Stark Tower

Hulk had gone into a frenzy on the battlefield; he followed the scent to Stark Tower.

Loki had just come down from the rooftop, wanting to enter the building to hide.

Boom!

Hulk smashed through the wall and appeared before Loki.

Seeing Hulk, Loki's face changed drastically: "You... green monster..."

Hulk grinned: "Green!"

Loki took a step back but immediately regained his arrogant posture.

"Enough!" Loki raised his scepter and roared.

"I am a god! A god from Asgard! You lowly creatures, how dare you..."

Before he could finish his sentence—

Hulk suddenly rushed forward and grabbed Loki by the leg.

Bang!!!

Hulk slammed Loki against the ground like a ragdoll!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Slammed to the left! Slammed to the right!

Human-shaped craters were smashed into the floor!

Loki's bones let out a cracking sound; he wanted to resist, but he was utterly powerless before Hulk.

"I... I am a god..." Loki said weakly.

Hulk slammed Loki onto the ground one last time; the immense force made the entire floor shake.

Loki lay in the deep pit, his eyes unfocused, his entire body fractured, unable to move.

Hulk clapped his hands and gave Loki a disdainful look.

"Puny god."

With that, Hulk turned and left, leaving Loki groaning amidst the ruins.

"I... am a god..." Loki's voice grew weaker and weaker.

...

Peter was swinging on his Webbing, just passing by Stark Tower.

He heard the commotion inside.

"What happened here?"

Then he saw Loki lying in the pit.

"Whoa, is this... that big villain boss?" Peter approached.

Loki weakly opened his eyes and saw Peter.

"Enough... where did this child come from..."

Loki said with difficulty.

"Even a child comes to humiliate a god..."

"Huh?"

Peter scratched his head, "I'm not here to humiliate you, I was just passing by..."

Loki still wanted to speak: "You lowly..."

"Man, you talk too much." Peter interrupted him.

Thwip!

Webbing shot out accurately, sealing Loki's mouth.

"Mmm-mmm!!" Loki's eyes widened as he tried to struggle.

But Peter's Webbing kept shooting out, wrapping around Loki layer after layer.

A few seconds later, Loki was wrapped into a large cocoon, with only his eyes showing.

"Mmm-mmm-mmm!!" Loki let out muffled cries frantically.

Peter clapped his hands, looking at his work with satisfaction: "Perfect! Your friendly neighborhood is at your service!"

He took out his phone and snapped a photo of Loki.

"I have to keep this as a souvenir!"

"Alright, good luck, Mr. Loki!" Peter waved and swung away on his Webbing.

Loki lay in the pit, his gaze filled with despair.

He, the dignified Prince of Asgard, was actually wrapped up like a zongzi by a child using Webbing...

This was a total humiliation!

"Mmm-mmm..." Loki shed tears of humiliation.

Stark Tower Rooftop

Natasha was piloting a captured chitauri aircraft, struggling to fly toward the top floor of Stark Tower.

She saw the Tesseract's device, encased in an Energy Shield.

"How do I shut this thing down..." Natasha murmured.

Just then, she saw Doctor Selvig lying in a corner.

"Doctor!" Natasha ran over.

Selvig woke up, the blue light in his eyes having vanished—the mind control was broken.

"I... where am I?" Selvig was dazed.

"Stark Tower," Natasha said. "Doctor, do you remember how to close the Portal?"

Selvig looked at the Tesseract device, his memory gradually returning.

"I... I built this..." he said painfully. "I was under Loki's control..."

"No time for self-blame!" Natasha interrupted. "Tell me how to shut it down!"

Selvig looked at the Energy Shield and suddenly remembered something.

"Loki's scepter!" he said. "The scepter's energy can penetrate the shield! The scepter can be used to close the Portal!"

Natasha's eyes lit up: "Where is the scepter?"

"It should be with Loki..."

"I'll go find it!" Natasha turned to leave.

"Wait!" Selvig shouted. "You just need to touch the core of the Tesseract device with the scepter to close the Portal!"

"Understood!"

Natasha rushed down the building to find Loki and the scepter.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters

A video conference of the World Security Council was underway.

The images of five council members appeared on the screen.

Fury stood before the screen, his face grim.

"No!" Fury roared. "I do not agree with this decision!"

A council member said coldly: "Director, the battle has lasted for four hours, and the losses are immeasurable. We must cut our losses."

"Cut our losses?" Fury gritted his teeth. "There are still tens of thousands of civilians in Manhattan!"

"This is a necessary sacrifice," another council member said. "To protect more people, we must destroy Manhattan."

"You're all insane!" Fury slammed the table.

"The resolution has passed," the council member said expressionlessly. "The nuclear missile is ready."

The screen turned off.

Fury immediately spoke into his communicator: "Intercept that jet! At any cost!"

...

On the S.H.I.E.L.D. carrier, a jet started up.

The pilot, expressionless, armed the mounted nuclear missile.

The interceptor jet sent by Fury caught up.

"Stop! That's an order!"

But that jet ignored it and instead accelerated.

The interceptor opened fire and shot it down.

Fury breathed a sigh of relief.

But the next second, the communicator reported: "Commander, a second jet has taken off!"

"What?!" Fury's face changed drastically.

The second jet was already far away, moving extremely fast; the interceptor couldn't catch up.

Fury watched helplessly as the jet disappeared from the radar.

"Damn it..." He clenched his fist. "Notify the Avengers, a nuclear missile has been launched!"

In the sky, the nuclear missile detached from the jet and flew toward Manhattan along its preset trajectory.

Its target was the center of the Portal.

Once detonated, all of Manhattan would be leveled.

The aerial battlefield

Tony was locked in a dogfight with over a dozen chitauri aircrafts.

"Jarvis, power status?"

"35%, sir."

Just then, Jarvis suddenly issued an alarm.

"Sir, a nuclear missile signal has been detected, approaching Manhattan."

"What?!" Tony was shocked. "Has S.H.I.E.L.D. gone mad?!"

He quickly adjusted his view and saw the incoming nuclear missile.

A silver missile body with flames spraying from its tail, moving extremely fast.

Jarvis calculated: "Estimated arrival at the target area in three minutes."

Tony's mind raced.

If the nuke exploded, it wouldn't just be the enemies, but also countless civilians, the Avengers, and those three children...

"No..." Tony gritted his teeth. "I can't let it explode here."

"Sir, given the nuke's power, you cannot destroy it," Jarvis reminded him.

"I know," Tony took a deep breath. "But I can change its target."

He looked up at the Portal in the sky.

"Jarvis... calculate the feasibility of flying the nuke into the Portal to destroy the Chitauri mothership?"

"Theoretically feasible, sir. However, your battle armor cannot withstand the environment of outer space. Survival rate... 0.01%."

Tony fell silent for a second.

Then, he smiled.

"0.01%, huh... well, it's not zero."

"Sir..." There was a rare emotional tremor in Jarvis's voice.

"Don't worry, Jarvis," Tony said. "I'm Iron Man. I never do anything I'm not sure of."

He took a deep breath, engaged full-power thrusters, and flew toward the nuke.

"Romanoff, have you found a way to close the Portal?" Tony asked over the comms.

"I found it!" Natasha's voice came through. "I have the scepter, I can close it anytime!"

"Good," Tony said. "Wait for my signal before closing the door."

"What? Tony, what are you going to do?" Natasha was confused.

Tony didn't answer; he had already caught up to the nuke.

He grabbed the tail of the missile with both hands, thrusters at full power.

"Let's go, baby," Tony gritted his teeth. "Let's take a trip."

The missile's trajectory began to change, shifting from horizontal to vertical, heading straight for the Portal in the sky.
