"Greetings, Three Fellow Daoists! It is truly a joyous occasion for you three to manifest and be born today!"
Before his voice even faded, the mystical golden light split into three Taoists who stood before Hongyun.
At a single glance, these three were extremely similar to Hongyun. One stood in a location, manifested in the past time and space, embodying the marvel of the past life; one stood in another location, manifested in the present time and space, embodying the marvel of the present life; and one stood in yet another location, manifested in the future time and space, embodying the marvel of the future life.
All three exuded the pressure of a Late-stage Daluo Golden Immortal, identical to Hongyun, and their auras were faintly connected. The past, present, and future formed a single River of Time and Space, while the past life, present life, and future life converged with Karma and destiny flowing within them. Truly, it was indescribably wondrous!
At this moment, after the three Taoists appeared, they smiled, bowed in return to Hongyun, and said, "Fellow Daoist is too polite. We are transformed from Fellow Daoist's Divine Ability, cultivating together as one entity with Fellow Daoist; there is no need for such formalities."
"We shall go and cultivate by ourselves first. When fated opportunities arrive, if there are tribulations, Fellow Daoist has only to call upon us. Four Daluo Golden Immortals are enough to handle many matters."
As they spoke, the three transformed into three mystical streams of light, sinking into Hongyun's glabella and down into his Primordial Spirit, going off to comprehend the mysteries and enlightenment on their own.
Hongyun glanced at the three within his Primordial Spirit and couldn't help smiling faintly, "Although it cannot compare to the profundity and depth of Severing the Three Corpses, unable to produce layered aggregation for qualitative change and expansion, breaking through oneself to glimpse the efficacy of Hunyuan."
"However, they are all three completely autonomous and independent personalities centered around me, and they are all myself. Moreover, this feeling of talking to oneself is truly very peculiar. I just wonder how the Three Lives Body transformed by this Innate Divine Ability compares to Taiqing Laozi's One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones Divine Ability?"
The Three Lives Body was an Innate Divine Ability that slowly evolved from that mystical Innate Origin transformed after the Qi of the Human Dao torrent from an unknown time and space was stripped away back then.
It possessed a wondrous skill basically akin to Taiqing Laozi's One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones, and it was also an immensely powerful grand Divine Ability that was completely no less inferior to using a Top-grade Innate Spiritual Treasure to slay corpses, perfectly fitting the Method of Severing the Three Corpses.
Hongyun did not even know if it was supposed to be this way by the inherent will of the dark mandate of heaven, or if it was influenced by his own subconscious while in deep slumber, thereby evolving using One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones or the Method of Severing the Three Corpses to Prove the Dao as a template.
Anyway, in Hongyun's view, this was definitely a replica of One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones, and it was innately suited for Severing the Three Corpses.
To say that there was not even a shred of his own subconscious influence in this was something Hongyun found hard to believe!
Otherwise, why didn't it evolve into a grand Divine Ability like Ancestor Minghe's four hundred and eighty million blood god clones? Or evolve into the Mythical Great Luo law that could make the Great God Pangu—who slaughtered Chaos Demon Gods and opened up the Primordial World—shed tears and prostrate in worship just by boasting about it?
Wasn't it because One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones was famous enough and Severing the Three Corpses was deeply rooted in people's hearts!
Hongyun did not particularly reject Severing the Three Corpses either, nor would he maliciously guess at its pros and cons; he would practice it first and talk later.
After all, the current situation in mobility started from Celestial Immortal, followed by True Immortal, Profound Immortal, Golden Immortal, Taiyi Golden Immortal, and ultimately Great Luo Golden Immortal Perfection as the apex, with no way forward beyond that. (Each Realm is divided into four minor realms: Early Stage, Middle Stage, Late Stage, and Perfection.)
Of course, perhaps it could also be said that it was not completely a dead end; as long as there was enough time, someone would eventually forge a path just like Hongjun.
Or else, follow what Hongjun said about Proving the Dao through Force, which was Attaining the Dao through Laws, accumulating immeasurable kalpa-long Magical Power, breaking open the shackles of Heavenly Dao, and Prove the Dao and Attain Hunyuan.
But in the Great Wilderness where the Great Dao had long since been unmanifested and only the Heavenly Dao reigned supreme, the unimaginably long time required for this was unfathomable.
However, after Hongjun expounded the Dao, the entire Great Wilderness entered a prosperous age of Dao law where Golden Immortals were as common as dogs, Daluo figures walked everywhere, and only Quasi-Saints could barely strut around. Moreover, the Great Wilderness was a world where real Experts were supreme; it simply did not permit nor support anyone having the time and ability to do these things.
Unless Hongjun did not expound the Dao and kept the Great Wilderness in its current state, and the Wu and Yao did not act recklessly and massacre everywhere, then there would be a slim possibility.
"But this is obviously impossible. cultivation does not rely solely on the accumulation of years; that is merely the foundation. What is even more important is striving to be first and fighting for fated opportunities. Being ahead by one step means being ahead at every step; only by being a step ahead can one have various opportunities."
"Otherwise, even if a fated opportunity is placed right before one, if one lacks even the qualification and opportunity to contend for it, then everything will merely be flowers in a mirror and the moon reflected in water."
Hongyun felt a surge of emotion, his state of mind improved significantly, and his cultivation advanced a bit more.
Immediately, Hongyun calculated the time and found that there were still nine Yuanhuis left out of the three thousand Yuanhuis, making it time to set off. (One yuan is divided into twelve hui, with each hui lasting 10,800 years; one Yuanhui is 129,600 years; 50,000 Yuanhuis make one Hunyuan Great Tribulation; one Great Tribulation = 50,000 Yuanhuis × 129,600 years = 6.48 billion years.)
Thus, Hongyun smiled indifferently, transforming into a stream of rainbow light, shuttling and crossing through the heaven and earth the void all the way. Passing through the Nine Heavens Astral Wind and thunder fire layers, flying across the endless starry sky, and carrying the chaos primordial qi bead above his head, he entered the Chaos Beyond the Heavens.
At almost the same time, various Great Divine Beings seemed to have agreed beforehand as they rushed toward the Chaos Beyond the Heavens one after another.
Only when many people arrived near Beyond the Heavens and looked at the grayish Chaos air currents filled with violent turbulence, devouring, assimilating, and destroying everything, along with the various perilous and terrifying Chaotic Voids derived from them, they were instantly dumbfounded.
At this moment, they felt that they perhaps did not understand the Chaos Beyond the Heavens very well, and they harbored a huge misunderstanding regarding Hongjun's words that those with a fated affinity could all come to listen to the Dao.
"Those with a fated affinity can all come to listen to the Dao? Isn't this practically having those with a fated affinity all come to court death! Since this so-called Saint is being so unreasonable, we might as well not listen to this Dao!" A Great Divine Being who arrived near Beyond the Heavens looked at the boundless Chaotic Void, roared in a low voice, and turned back.
Although he considered his strength to be decent, walking through this boundless, perilous, and terrifying Chaotic Void to search for Purple Heaven Palace was probably something beyond his ability. He could only vent a little and leave right then and there.
As for whether this would constitute slighting the Saint, bringing Karma upon oneself, and drawing in tribulation from the dark, it was hard to say.
"Alas! The Dao path is right before me, yet I lack the fated affinity to behold it. My heart aches greatly!" Another Great Divine Being let out a long sigh, tears streaming down his face as he left in silence.
"Hmph! It is merely a Chaotic Void, how can one not enter it..."
"Exactly, with the Great Dao before us, we have no regrets even in death..."
Experts from all directions gathered Beyond the Heavens. Some retreated, while naturally others advanced. Who could clearly explain or articulate the fated opportunities and misfortunes hidden within?
As for Hongyun, who had already entered the Chaotic Void, he naturally wouldn't care how many people would be hindered or caused to perish by the perils and terrors of the Chaos Beyond the Heavens.
Anyway, relying on the chaos primordial qi bead, Hongyun did not feel it was all that difficult.
After all, it was transformed from a shred of Chaos Origin within that Chaos World after the Chaos Pearl shattered. Protecting himself while walking through the Chaotic Void was still very worry-free and safe.
However, space was unmanifested and time was unclear within Chaos. Hongyun felt that he searched for Purple Heaven Palace for a very, very long time, as if it were vast and boundless, with seemingly no end in sight.
"The Saint's methods are truly unfathomable and beyond speculation. I was far too naive and simple-minded in my thoughts."
After an unknown amount of time, a sudden comprehension arose in Hongyun's heart, and he felt his vision brighten. A massive palace standing amidst the boundless Chaotic Void, flickering with boundless mystical, nebulous Purple Qi and immortal light, solemn, majestic, ethereal, and lofty, instantly appeared before him. Upon it manifested three Heavenly Dao divine patterns: Purple Heaven Palace.
